Do You Know Why It Didn't Happen?

Despite a delay in the Israeli plan to illegally annex more of the already illegally occupied West Bank, the Palestinian people remain vigilant. And so is AMP.

To address the issue of annexation, we hosted a webinar live on Facebook to examine the legal and political implications of Israeli annexation and what must happen here in the United States to affect policy.

Click here to watch the full recording of the webinar featuring Prof. Jamal Dajani, Phyllis Bennis & Dr. Osama Abuirshaid.

We also issued this policy memorandum to end US complicity in Israel’s illegal annexation of Palestinian land and made it available to all 535 members of Congress.

We thank Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez  (D-NY) and 12 other legislators for calling on the State Department to impose conditions on the $3.8 billion annual US military funding to Israel. AMP was proud to be listed on Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s press release as a supporter of her letter.

We did our part and we urge you to do yours. Click here to find out if your Representative signed this letter and demand that the US end its complicity in Israel’s illegal activities.

Once every four years, the Democratic and Republican Parties adopt a platform during their conventions that guides the policy-making of their elected officials for the subsequent four years. This year’s conventions are around the corner and we invite you to join us in making sure that both parties include Palestinian rights in their policy platforms.

More than 7,000 people (& growing) from across the country of all faiths and ethnicities have already signed this petition for Palestine, launched with Jewish Voice for Peace Action.

Join them by signing it today. By doing so, you will be telling the DNC and RNC that it's time to support Palestinian rights.

In the interim, click here to read our memo to DNC  & RNC.

In our deep commitment to building a just and anti-racist society, we continue to hold our monthly anti-racism and Black solidarity webinars #LetsTalkBLM.

If you have missed these webinars, we invite you to watch here the first episode and the second episode.

We are also proud to co-sponsor with Eye Witness Palestine a virtual summit on building a united racial justice system from the US to Palestine tomorrow, Saturday, July 18. Click here to register.

AMP co-hosted the U.K.-based annual PalestineExpo organized by the Friends of Al-Aqsa. AMP Board Chair Dr. Hatem Bazian joined Nelson Mandela’s grandson Zwelivelile Mandela and spoke about the parallels between the Palestinian struggle and racism in the United States. Click here to watch.

Responding to the impending illegal annexation plan, several AMP chapters organized protests across the country from Los Angeles to New Jersey and many cities in between, including a massive action in Washington D.C.

This month, AMP is also proud to recognize our New Jersey Chapter for its consistent efforts in organizing the community for freedom and justice in Palestine while standing up against the plague of racism in the U.S.

If you believe in the struggle for fairness and justice for all, then support us. It is only together, we can make a difference.

Our West Coast Regional Director Shakeel Syed ([email protected] ) would welcome your suggestions and ideas.
