TAKE ACTION: FREE SALAH SARSOUR

As you probably know by now, Salah Sarsour, the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, a board member of American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), chairman of AMP’s Annual Palestine Convention, and a longtime community leader and lawful permanent resident, was detained by ICE and transferred out of state over a week ago. He has lived in the United States for over 30 years and has no criminal record here, yet remains in detention without justification.

We’ve put together an action toolkit to help you plug in right away, calling your elected officials, and amplifying Salah’s story so it cannot be ignored.

Take the following actions now:

• Call and email your Members of Congress (House and Senate) and urge them to demand that the Trump administration and DHS release Salah Sarsour.
• If your member (federal or state) has already spoken out in support of Salah, thank them and ask them to continue using their voice and power to get him released.
• Contribute to the fund to advocate for Salah Sarsour and follow @FreeSalahSarsour on Instagram or find more resources to take action at freesalah.info/about.
• Are you a part of an organization? Make sure your org is signed on to this letter.
