Ramadan Mubarak from AMP

From everyone at AMP, Ramadan Kareem! May this month be full of blessings for you and your family. During this holy month, please keep Palestine and all oppressed people in your prayers. May Allah (SWT) accept your fasting and your prayers! As we prepare for this blessed month, we know all too well that the occupation has no regard for the sanctity of this time. 

This Ramadan, we are proud to announce our #LightTheLamps campaign! Maymunah Bint Sa’d (RA) relates that she asked the Prophet (SAW):

“O Messenger of Allah, tell us the legal injunction about (visiting) Bayt al-Maqdes (Jerusalem). The Messenger of Allah said: go and pray there. She asked: what if one cannot reach it or finds difficulty reaching it? He replied: “If you cannot visit it and pray there, then send some oil to be used in the lamps.” [Abu Dawud]

Here in the United States, AMP is working diligently to #LightTheLamps on the path of freedom and justice in Palestine. We plan to use this month to renew our commitment to the people of Palestine and to realize the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) command to help Al-Aqsa by any means. May Allah (SWT) accept from us all and may this Ramadan be a step closer to a #FreePalestine.
