Israeli Occupation Forces have killed more than 80 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since Wednesday, November 14. Among the deceased are 12 children, including an eleven-month-old infant, Hannen Tafish and 11 members across three generations from Al-Dalou family. More than 650 Palestinians have been injured.

These casualties were caused by Israeli-operated weapons made and supplied by the United States, and funded by American taxpayers.

We unequivocally deplore Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai’s statement, saying that "the goal of the operation is to send Gaza back to the middle Ages," and we are deeply concerned for the wellbeing of the civilians, medics, and journalists in the Gaza Strip whose lives are endangered by Israel’s assault.

We urge President Obama to put “daylight” between America’s policies and interests and that of Israeli violence and its belligerent attempts to achieve peace with the Palestine by attempting to force them into submission.

TAKE ACTION

   Call the White House and State Department this week to demand an immediate cessation of all Israeli attacks against Gaza and to hold the occupation forces accountable for these crimes and for the abuse of U.S. supplied weapons.

• According to the United Nations, the Gaza Strip is an occupied territory
• Gaza has been under total siege by Israeli forces for the last six years
• Attacking occupied civilian population in Gaza is against the Fourth Geneva Convention, meaning Israel is in direct violation of international law
