ACTION ALERT

On Oct. 17, Washington Post staff writer Walter Pincus published a column, “United States needs to reevaluate its assistance to Israel,” which questioned why the United States continues to send billions of dollars to Israel while its own citizens are struggling with economic issues here at home.

Because of the U.S. taxpayer money it is receiving, Israel is able to cut its own defense spending and divert that money to social programs for Israelis, while here at home Americans are facing stiff cuts in social programs, and their school districts and municipalities are running out of funds.
