Ben Gvir’s Perpetuous Provocations at Al-Aqsa

AMP Reaffirms Palestinian Rights over Al-Aqsa and Demands Accountability for Continued Israeli Aggression

American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) condemns Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s vile incursion onto the compound of Masjid Al-Aqsa. During the illegal invasion, Ben Gvir and over 1500 illegal settlers were seen desecrating Al-Aqsa.

Ben Gvir called Israel the “owners of Al-Aqsa” and bragged about being responsible for the institutionalized torture of Palestinians inside Israeli prisons. These heinous acts come during the holy Jewish holiday of Sukkot, in which Israeli forces closed shops and barred Palestinian worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa – an act of collective punishment meant to impose Israeli dominance over the blessed Masjid and intimidate Palestinians into submission.

Make no mistake: Al-Aqsa is not for Israel to take, alter, or control, nor is it a stage for Ben Gvir to impose his messianic derangement. As the occupying power, Israel has no legal authority to alter protections for religious and cultural sites, or impose restrictions and permanent changes to them. AMP reaffirms Al Aqsa’s profound legal, religious, and cultural significance and will continue to work tirelessly to defend Palestinians’ rights to worship freely, access their holy sites, and protect Al Aqsa from efforts to alter its historic character and status.

AMP calls upon the U.S. and all world leaders to reject Israel’s attempt to take over Al-Aqsa and to hold this criminal Israeli government responsible for the crimes it has inflicted upon the Palestinian people and the broader Middle East.
