AMP Launches Campaign Demanding United Airlines Stop Transporting Weapons to Israel Aboard Civilian Passenger Flights
American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), alongside a coalition of civil rights and advocacy organizations, launched a campaign demanding that United Airlines immediately end its transportation of weapons and military equipment to Israel aboard civilian passenger flights. AMP and its coalition partners issued a joint letter to United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, President Brett Hart, the company’s Board of Directors, and its Office of Ethics and Compliance.
The campaign follows recent reporting by The Intercept that United Airlines resumed the shipments after a brief hiatus caused by the Iran war. Between July 24, 2025, and February 27, 2026, United Airlines transported over 3,000 loads of military material to Israel, with some shipments destined for Israel’s Ministry of Defense, Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin facilities, and other Israeli military air bases.
These shipments coincided with Israel’s active genocide in Gaza and International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for crimes against humanity and using starvation as a method of warfare against Palestinians in Gaza. AMP and its coalition partners will not stop until United Airlines publicly commits to ending this heinous practice.
