Defend Masjid Al-Aqsa this Ramadan

News
background

The focus of the battle for the extremist Israeli government this Ramadan and year will be Jerusalem and Masjid Al-Aqsa. For decades, Israeli forces have consistently attacked Masjid Al-Aqsa and the worshippers inside during the blessed month of Ramadan. By doing so, Israel disturbs the joy and sanctity of Ramadan and sends a message to Palestinians that the occupying power reigns supreme in the holy city.

When Benjamin Netanyahu's sixth term began earlier this year, the new Minister of National Security, the extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir, stormed Masjid Al-Aqsa. Since then, the settlers' incursions into the Masjid Al-Aqsa compound, under the protection of the occupation forces, have persisted. Despite decades of brutal occupation, the Palestinian people have remained steadfast, time and time again, in the defense of the first Qibla, the point of ascension of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, and one of the holiest places on Earth for Muslims.

Donate today and join the blessed vanguard that defends the sanctity of Masjid Al-Aqsa.

As Americans, we have a great duty toward Palestinian rights and toward the protection of Masjid Al-Aqsa. For decades, the United States has provided political, military, and economic support to the apartheid state. As taxpayers, we unwillingly underwrite the Zionist oppression of Palestinians. This reality increases our responsibility to change US policy and end our complicity. We are now seeing signs of a real shift in American public opinion, especially among younger voters and within the ranks of the Democratic Party.

Today, the lamps of Al Aqsa that need to be lit are the lamps of freedom and justice for the Palestinian people. That is something we can actively work towards here in the US through our advocacy and movement building.

For the past 17 years, AMP and our allies have begun to mainstream the Palestinian narrative and human rights in the United States. The changes that we are witnessing in public opinion, in Congress, and in the media in relation to Palestine are the direct outcome of deliberate strategies and tireless efforts. Over the years, AMP, and its affiliate 501(c)(4) organization, Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action), have been the strongest voices in defending Palestinian rights, including the city of Jerusalem and its sanctity, by organizing awareness campaigns, public and political pressure, meetings with members of Congress and the U.S. Department of State.

With Allah's grace, AMP is the product of your support and assistance. We need your help this Ramadan to continue this work. Can we count on you to fight the battle of defending the blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa this Ramadan?
