AMP media director keynote speaker at Hudson Valley, NY Nakba event

News

AMP Media Director Kristin Szremski addressed a crowd of about 200 people on May 25 at the Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center in Mohegan Lake, NY.
Hudson Valley supporters also watched a film about the Nakba that contained actual footage from 1948 and testimony from Nakba survivors. Volunteers also cooked aromatic authentic Palestinians cuisine.
Szremski spoke about her experience being detained by Israeli authorities at the Tel Aviv airport, US foreign aid to Israel at a time when the weak American economy has forced cuts to crucial social programs and how Israel’s continued violations of international law show the Nakba is still continuing 64 years after the creation of the state of Israel.
