As Palestinians are marking 50 years since the Six Day War, Israeli officials are engaging in a bold attack on peaceful human rights defenders. In an effort to stop his hugely successful nonviolent activism, Israel has dredged up 18-year-old charges against internationally renowned human rights defender Issa Amro. The case will be tried in Israeli military court, where the conviction rate is over 99 percent!
In an historic and unprecedented move, members of Congress are circulating a Dear Colleague letter calling for Issa to be protected from Israel’s illegitimate military court system. Please get your representative to sign the letter!
