(CHICAGO  09/19/2011) – “The Anti-Defamation League: Protector of civil rights or silencer of free speech” was featured in a workshop on Zionist organizations presented at the annual conference for the US Campaign to End the Israel Occupation in Washington DC from Sept. 16-18.

The workshop, “The legal and popular approaches  to challenge Zionist organizations in the United States,” was presented by Kristin Szremski, American Muslims for Palestine’s director of media and communication,  and Sara Kershnar of the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network.

The purpose of the session was to identify Zionist organizations and their purpose to support Israel and to maintain the occupation of Palestine. The  audience learned how to protect themselves from and deal with attacks from Zionist organizations such as the ADL, how to expose the pro-Israel agenda and how to organize to push back against them.

AMP has been invited to present this workshop again with IJAN at the annual conference for the National Lawyers Guild next month in Philadelphia.
