On February 26, Mahmoud, a 16-year-old Palestinian-American boy born and raised in Florida, was shot by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint near the Beit El settlement in the occupied West Bank . After he was shot, soldiers stripped Mahmoud’s body and left him bleeding on the road for more than two hours, even preventing a Palestinian ambulance from approaching or intervening.
Mahmoud's killing should be investigated, both because he deserves the same protections as any other U.S. citizen, and because he was killed with weapons subsidized by the United States, which sends billions of dollars in security assistance to Israel every year.
