The fight for Jerusalem is far from over, we need your help
Dear Friend of AMP,
As-salaamu 'Alaikum. As you may have noticed, just as we wrapped up our annual convention in Chicago—the largest gathering for Palestine in the U.S.—we’ve been forced to confront numerous challenges. From smear campaigns against our esteemed Palestinian and Muslim leaders in the U.S. to President Trump’s outrageous declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, it often feels like our rights and noble cause are constantly under attack and from all directions.
We work hard to remain alert, organized, and vigilant, and when there is need for immediate action, we do our best to lead the fight for justice. We couldn’t be more proud of our brothers and sisters who have responded to our calls—often under short notice—including the thousands of you who journeyed from all over the country to attend our White House rally for Jerusalem last Saturday. Whether it is making calls, sending letters, signing petitions, protesting, educating, or lobbying representatives, our efforts would be ineffective without you.
But, as you know, the fight is far from over. As the UN General Assembly discusses Jerusalem this week, Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, already threatened that the “U.S. will be taking names,” presumably to punish any country that dares defy its biased agenda.
Since Trump's announcement, we have held press conferences, demonstrations, and marched to the U.S. Capitol to hold our elected officials accountable. Collectively, we have taken our message that Jerusalem is forever the capital of Palestine to the White House.
But the work does not stop there. In March, AMP will host annual Palestine Advocacy Day and Training in Washington DC. This year, we aim to bring more than 150 people to Capitol Hill to meet with the offices of 90 Members of Congress. Our intention for this weekend intensive is to help usher in a new era of advocacy work for Palestine at the local level that our chapters and active partners can use to change U.S. policy. AMP recognizes that the greatest impact is achieved at the legislative level and we need your help.
Work with us to achieve positive change in Palestine. To continue our joint struggle for justice in Palestine, AMP requires your continuous, consistent, and generous financial support.
Please consider making your year-end gift to AMP. Will you donate $500, $250, $100 or any other amount to help us continue the fight? Every dollar helps and donations are tax-deductible.
