National March For Palestine

Sanction Israel Now!

The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) and American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) are excited to welcome to Washington, DC on Saturday, May 29 an estimated tens of thousands of people to our National March for Palestine.

We are proud that more than 100 organizations, representing diverse constituencies, have endorsed this march and are helping to mobilize for it, including Jewish organizations standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The goal of this march is to build support for Palestinian rights and the effort to sanction Israel for violating these rights.

Toward that goal, we ask that all participants in the march abide by the following code of conduct:

  1. Please refrain from using any speech, wearing any items of clothing or buttons, etc., or holding any placards or signs, etc. that denigrates anyone’s religion, ethnicity, race, etc. The march will be conducted in the spirit of AMP’s long-standing anti-bigotry and anti-racism principles.
  2. Please refrain from using any speech, wearing any items of clothing or buttons, etc., or holding any placards or signs, etc. that make use of racist and oppressive symbols.
  3. Please refrain from interacting in any way with any people who may be counter-protesting. From experience, we know that provocateurs will attempt to provoke people into verbal and physical confrontations in an attempt to discredit the goal of the march.

The organizers will have marshals who will request attendees to comply with this code of conduct.
