AMP announces 7th annual Nakba commemoration campaign
May 15 marks 64 years of the Nakba, the date that symbolizes the beginning of the systematic dispossession of the Palestinian people. The Nakba is not just one isolated incident that coincides with the birth of the state of Israel; it is actually an ongoing event that began with the United Nations’ partition of Palestine in 1947 and continues until today.
AMP encourages everyone to honor the victims of the Nakba by honoring them through our activism to raise awareness about the occupation. We must redouble our efforts so one day the world’s largest refugee population can return to their homeland.
Join AMP this year at one of our many Nakba events; donate to help AMP continue its mission of educating the public; educate yourself with our reading list; or make your voice heard by writing letters to the editor or posting comments online.
Together, we can help bring justice and liberty to the Holy Land. Remember: It is Palestine: Our Identity, Our Dream, Our Future.
