Thank your representative for not supporting H. Res. 11

AMP sent thank you letters this week to the members of the House of Representatives who opposed House Res. 11 and now we're hoping you will do the same!

H.Res. 11  condemned the UN Security Council vote on Israeli settlements, which took place on Dec. 23, 2016.

The UN vote reaffirmed the illegality of Israeli settlements and how they are an obstacle to peace.

Historically, these nonbinding resolutions have received unanimous or near unanimous support in the past. But the fact that last week 80 representatives refused to sign on shows just how effective advocacy for Palestinian rights on Capitol Hill is becoming.

Finally, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is considering a similar resolution (S. Res. 6) today behind closed doors. The meeting is not open to the public. AMP will alert you to the status of the resolution as soon as it becomes known.
